Frequently Asked Questions

01

What is Art Global Contemporain?

Art Global Contemporain is an independent international platform dedicated to discovering, curating and presenting contemporary artistic practices. Through editorial features, artist presentations and selected art news, AGC highlights distinctive creative voices from around the world.

02

Who can submit their work?

Submissions are open to contemporary artists working in painting, mixed media and fine-art photography. We welcome emerging and established artists from all countries, provided their work demonstrates a coherent artistic direction and a strong individual visual language.

03

How can I submit my work?

Artists may apply through the submission form on the AGC website. Please include a short biography, an artist statement, your country of residence, website or portfolio, Instagram account and a coherent selection of recent works.

For photography submissions, we particularly encourage clearly defined photographic series rather than unrelated individual images.

04

What happens after I submit?

Every submission is reviewed individually. Artists whose work corresponds to AGC’s editorial and curatorial direction will be contacted with further information.

In some cases, we may request a more focused selection of works before making a final decision.

05

Does submitting guarantee publication?

No. Submission does not guarantee selection or publication. AGC reserves the right to select artists and artworks according to its curatorial criteria, editorial calendar and visual standards.

Due to the number of applications received, we may not be able to provide individual feedback on every submission.

06

What is the AGC Open Selection?

The AGC Open Selection is a continuous curatorial selection of contemporary artistic practices presented outside the Featured Artist chapters.

Artists and artworks are selected directly by AGC from publicly shared work that reflects the platform’s editorial direction. Open Selection posts are presented free of charge and include clear artist credit and a link to their public profile whenever available.

Unlike a Featured Artist presentation, the Open Selection does not include a custom-designed editorial feature, extensive curatorial writing or a collaborative approval process.

07

What does a Featured Artist presentation include?

A Featured Artist presentation generally includes:

  • curatorial selection of the artworks;
  • editorial and curatorial writing;
  • a custom-designed visual presentation;
  • publication across AGC platforms;
  • promotional stories;
  • a dedicated artist page or website link, when applicable;
  • an invitation to collaborate on the Instagram publication.

The exact format may vary depending on the artist and the body of work selected.

08

Is there a contribution for the Featured Artist presentation?

Yes. Selected artists are asked for a small editorial contribution to support the curatorial selection, writing, design, preparation and publication of the feature.

The exact amount is communicated clearly before the artist decides whether to proceed. There is no obligation to continue after receiving the full information, and no payment is required simply to submit an application.

09

Can I choose the artworks included in my feature?

Artists are welcome to indicate their preferred works, but the final selection is made by AGC to ensure visual coherence, editorial quality and a strong overall presentation.

Nothing is published without the artist first reviewing the completed feature.

10

Will AGC alter my artwork or use artificial intelligence on it?

AGC does not modify the content of the artwork. Images may only be resized, cropped when necessary for the presentation format, or placed within the editorial design.

Artificial intelligence is not used to repaint, extend, recreate or alter an artist’s original work.

11

When and where will the feature be published?

The publication date is agreed with the artist after the final presentation has been approved. Featured Artist presentations are published primarily on AGC’s Instagram account and may also appear on the Art Global Contemporain website and other AGC editorial channels.

12

Who retains the rights to the artworks and images?

Artists retain full copyright and ownership of their artworks.

By submitting images for a Featured Artist presentation, the artist authorizes AGC to use the approved material for the preparation, publication and promotion of the feature across its editorial channels.

All published works are credited to the artist. AGC does not claim ownership of the artworks or the images provided.
