Spanish artist Patricia Cid, working under the name BLACKWBLONDE, develops a visual language rooted in duality, distortion and emotional reconstruction. Her practice moves through the unstable territory between light and shadow, presence and erasure, clarity and fragmentation. Glitch and digital interference are central to this language. Rather than functioning as decorative effects, they become structural devices: images fracture, overlap and dissolve, creating a sense of identity in flux. The work often feels suspended between exposure and concealment, as if meaning were constantly surfacing and disappearing again. Across works such as Anathema, Greed, Stolen Innocence, Judge and Scavenger, rupture takes different forms — excess, obscurity, judgment, vulnerability, instability. The figures are rarely presented as fixed or complete; instead, they appear caught within shifting visual states that resist easy resolution. In Courage and Hope, the tone begins to change. Instinct, endurance and renewal emerge more clearly, suggesting that fragmentation is not necessarily an end point, but part of a longer process of reconstruction. Through this tension between disruption and resilience, BLACKWBLONDE builds a body of work in which the image remains deliberately unsettled — not fully healed, not fully resolved, but still moving.
