FEATURED ARTIST — OLGA ABRAKHIMOVA
Ukraine 🇺🇦 / Spain
In *Light in Motion*, Ukrainian artist Olga Abrakhimova, currently based in Spain, approaches the sea not as a landscape to be represented, but as a living field of energy, transformation, and emotional resonance. Water becomes bothmatter and metaphor: a force capable of carrying expansion, tension, memory, and silence.
Through layered acrylic surfaces, fluid gestures, and sculptural reliefs, Abrakhimova gives physical presence to movement. Deep blues and luminous turquoise establish the emotional architecture of the series, while flashes of golden ochre emerge as moments of intuition, warmth, and innerillumination.
The works unfold as a gradual psychological journey. From the ascending energy of *Genesis of Movement* and the sweeping openness of *Impulse of Light*, the rhythmintensifies in *Pearls in Motion* before turning inwardthrough the ambiguity of *An Enigma* and the meditativedepth of *The Island of Desire*.
In *The Magic of Water*, movement begins to dissolve intostillness. Gravity, transparency, and cascading pigment softenthe earlier kinetic force, revealing a quieter space wherephysical matter and inner experience seem to merge.
Across the series, Abrakhimova transforms the fluid dynamicsof water into an intimate cartography of the human psyche—moving from surge to contemplation, from visible motion to the hidden currents that shape our emotional lives.
